Dr Prachi thakar MD, DNB, FCPS, DGO Fellowship in gyn oncosurgery(Tata Memorial Hospital) She is a consultant gynaec onco(cancer) surgeon, practising in mumbai. aftery MBBS, she got trained in gynaecology n obstetrics, at sion medical college, and completed MD, DNB, FCPS, DGO in the same. durning her post graduate training, she was awarded the prestigious " Pramila Bhatia Young Scientist Award " for her original work on modern technique of caesarean section. She was also outstanding post graduate student and was also awarded the SRS Award for the best thesis on "Misgav Ladakh technique for LSCS" after post-graduation , she joined the renowned, TATA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL for training in gynaec oncosurgery n colposcopy. She also did extensive work in colposcopy n pap smear n conducted a special opd for it at the Bandra Bhabha Municipal hospital . following this she started practise as one of the first fully trained gyn cancer surgeons in the city. since then, she has worked exclusively in the field . she is a member of various national and international gyn oncology societyies.
